PEP PERFORMANCE TASK

In PEP (Primary Exit Profile) assessment, a performance task (PT) is a type of assessment where students demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a response or product. These tasks are designed to assess how students can apply their learning in a real-world context. PEP performance tasks are often “on-demand,” meaning they are completed within a given timeframe.

Purpose:

Demonstration of knowledge and skills:

Students are assessed on their ability to apply what they have learned, not just recall facts.

Creation of a response or product:

This can include writing an essay, solving a problem, analyzing data, or creating a presentation.

Authentic and novel content:

Performance tasks often involve real-world scenarios or require students to think critically and creatively.
